Announcement Regarding Peugeot
Women's Classic
Peugeot Automobiles
Australia wishes to advise that the 2009 instalment of the
Peugeot Women’s Classic will be the last for the immediate
future.
The Peugeot Women’s Classic
has been an incredible success for Peugeot over the four years
since its inception, with around 500 clubs and 13,000 women
competing in the 2009 edition.
Peugeot will continue to
look for avenues to remain involved with golf and will return
as the official vehicle of the ANZ Ladies Masters and
Australian Women’s Open in March, 2010.
However, the recent
constriction of the Australian new vehicle market has meant
that Peugeot has had to re-evaluate the allocation of its
marketing budget.
The 2009 Peugeot Women’s
Classic National Final will be played at the Commonwealth Golf
Club in Victoria in the lead-up to the Australian Women’s Open
on March 8th.
Clubs competing for a trip
to represent Australia at the Peugeot International Pro-Am in
Paris are Glenmore Heritage Valley (NSW), Women’s Golf Network
(VIC), Horton Park (QLD), Kooyonga (SA), Moora Lakeview (WA)
and Riverside Golf Club (TAS).
Peugeot Automobiles
Australia wishes to offer its most sincere thanks to all of
the clubs and players that have been such enthusiastic
supporters of the event.
The company would also like
to pass on its gratitude to Golf Australia for its
professionalism and assistance in the running of this
successful tournament.
The Peugeot Women’s Classic
has been a wonderful chapter in the history of Peugeot in this
country – we thank you for being a part of it.
